Zakary Zarichney MSW, RSW, RCC

Zakary is a Registered Social Worker and Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master of Social Work degree. He provides comprehensive, personalized support to individuals, couples, and families.

Zakary’s approach combines evidence-based and holistic perspectives to address anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and complex relationship dynamics. As a Métis clinician and strong advocate for the LGBTQIA2S+ community, he practices from an anti-oppressive, non-pathologizing standpoint, considering mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Zakary has over five years of experience supporting people navigating intense conflict, infidelity, separation, and divorce, and offers a judgment-free space to explore feelings, responses, and reactions. He provides both in-person and virtual appointments at our Salmon Arm location.

Reducing Barriers to Counselling

At Catalyst Clinical Counselling, we are dedicated to making clinical support accessible to everyone. Our team consists of a counsellor that is both a Registered Clinical Counsellors & Registered Social Workers, offering coverage through most extended health benefits. To ensure no one is left behind, we offer sliding scale rates. We also offer direct billing to many different insurance companies and for Indigenous peoples through FNHA, ensuring culturally safe and affordable support for all individuals and families.
